What is The Breastfeeding Cafe?

The Breastfeeding Café is a place for both fathers, mothers (no matter if you are planning to conceive, expecting, nursing or have stopped nursing) to gather around.  It’s a little cozy café for you to simply relax and socialising with other parents while sipping a cup of our hot or cold drinks, with some light snacks.  Breastfeeding is definitely welcome and strongly encouraged here, as the name suggests.  We have even prepared a few nursing ponchos for you to use (if you wish to) while you are here.

What are the Aims of The Breastfeeding Cafe

The Breastfeeding Café is borne out of our desire to help create a culture in which breastfeeding and breastfeeding mothers are visible and valued.  Also, we wish to encourage parents to gather, socialise and share about parenthood, especially on breastfeeding experiences, child upbringing, ups and downs as a parent, etc…  Life will be so much sweeter with friends who listen, who share and who know what we are going through.  

The set up of our cafe is very different from the others, where it’s more of open sitting concept, which you will see who is next or in front of you clearly and we encourage you to get to know each others.  It’s all started with a smile – the number 1 international language!

What The Breastfeeding Cafe serves?

In The Breastfeeding Café, we serve organic drinks for nursing moms, namely milk maid tea, sacred tea and oatmilk, imagine chit chatting happily while sipping a cup of drinks which help boost your breastmilk production?  You will produce happier and more of the relax hormones by doing so and we are sure that you will have lots of milk for your precious little ones.

For the expecting moms who are experiencing morning sickness, worry no more, we have the morning wellness tea, just for you.  It’s a big job carrying a baby inside you, we know, as we are mothers too.

For dads and kids, we have drinks which will take away your thirst too, namely coffee (for dads), fruit juice (for all) and some light snacks – homemade cookies and cupcakes.

Also, if you are planning for a lunch party, do email us 3 days in advance, we can special order Ayamas chicken rice for you.  Isn't it cool?   If you plan to host a small birthday party, speak to us too!

What other FUN things about The Breastfeeding Cafe?

Occasionally on some Saturdays, we will invite some speakers to talk about breastfeeding, childbirth, baby massage, music for babies, etc… too, any topics which will interest parents like you and I.   We will also conduct breastfeeding support meeting to share on selected topics.
